Welcome to Plumberow Primary Academy

Message from the Headteacher

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our children, parents, families and visitors to our website, and hope that you find the information both informative and useful.

Plumberow Primary Academy is a very large Academy with 635 pupils on roll. It has excellent facilities including two halls, an I.C.T. suite, Interactive Whiteboards in all classrooms, an outdoor swimming pool and a field. The level of resourcing in the academy is very good and teaching areas are both safe and well maintained, providing a stimulating working environment for the pupils.

The teachers and support staff form a very strong team and work closely with the Governing Body to promote high standards throughout the Academy. Parental involvement is largely encouraged through a well established induction policy for new entrants, weekly surgeries, Parent Council and an open door policy. A large number of parents provide invaluable voluntary support in classes throughout the academy and there is a well established PTA, which provides a programme of fundraising activities throughout the year.

The academy teaches a broad and balanced curriculum which is enriched by a wide range of extra curricular activities. There is a very strong emphasis on sport and music within the academy and academy teams compete very successfully in a wide range of inter-school sports activities.
